Baby in a Bucket!

Amidst all the computer chaos (it finally crashed this week and we had to have someone come out and fix it and add memory) I noticed some great lighting in the back yard and stuck Marc in a bucket!

Well, Marc actually LOVES to climb into any box, basket, or bucket he can fit into (I'll credit that to swimming in a recycle bin :0) so getting him to get in the bucket was a piece of cake!

Add my love of photography to his love of containers and we had a good morning! Then Dusty wanted to be included of course and so he joined in the fun (although I could not get him to get in the bucket!).
Then Marc wanted to kiss Dusty... and leaned over. Amazingly enough... he didn't tip over! But he didn't get the kiss either. Dusty ran off! :0)
Marc is babbling more than ever. He is saying some really good words... they are all two letters... but it's communication! He has also learned the baby sign language for "more" and "all done".
Marc's First Words List:
Ma Ma
Da Da
No No
Ni Ni (Night Night)
Mo (more)
Ba Ba (Baby)
Pu Pu (Puppy)

Creek Adventures Part 2

Here are some of the other pictures for this Saturday adventure.

Easing into the creek!

I fell in... all the way in a deeper spot. Held the camera as high above my head as possible and saved it! Whew... Abby laughed until she cried. Marc wasn't too sure about what happened.

Creek Adventures

We went to the creek behind our house on Saturday and played in the water. The rocks were warm and the water was nice and chilled, perfect combination.

Marc thought it was really cool the water was moving! Abby thought it was really cool to get in the water with her clothes on!

Mommy fell in... yeah. I'll post more pictures later. I'm logged in under Daddy's name and can't see the pictures, only their numbers. But I wanted to try and get something on here for the week!

Ending the Summer at the Lake

It's hard to believe this crazy busy summer is coming to an end. As much as I love the sunshine and water, I love Fall even more. Fall just makes me sigh contentment inside and makes me feel yummy all over!

It was the perfect time to go and we had wonderful weather with even some coolness on the screen porch at night. Marc has discovered goggles and glasses and loves them. He is a hoot. He also seems to know he is cute with them on and gives you his "cool guy" face!

He liked being in the water this time. We figured out it is the way the life jacket rides up around his neck in the water that he hates and so we took his float rider this time and he had a blast leaning over and putting his face in the water.

The other thing he is into lately is making faces. It usually involves his tongue sticking out! We have realized that it is attached and are trying to get a second opinion on whether or not it needs to be clipped. In the meantime, it makes a cute little indention when he sticks it out.

He also loves to kiss. He will stop what he is doing and turn to us and make a smacking noise in his request to kiss. Who can turn that down!? This is my favorite picture of Abby and Marc... he asked for the kiss!

It was a wonderful four days. It's a blessing but never seems long enough when we are on the way home. We are hoping to go back up within the month for a smaller little weekend stay. Then we will go back this Fall for a work trip.

School starts for Abby on Monday! Big second grader. We are excited. For now, Marc and I have colds... bad ugly snotty colds! Thanks Daddy! We are praying that Abby remains cold free and can start school without feeling bad. And so we rest. And tomorrow we will rest some more. Hugs... and love.
